Health benefits of nut butters

Of all nut butters, you are probably most acquainted with the peanut butter. From being used in sandwiches to being an essential ingredient for baking cakes and cupcakes, peanut butter is a favorite when it comes to nut butters. Apart from peanut butter, there is a variety of healthy kinds of nut butter available in the market. These nut butters, such as almond butter, cashew butter, and walnut butter, have numerous health benefits. So if you are allergic to peanuts and can't have peanut butter, then you can choose the nut butter of your choice: they are all incredibly delicious and healthy.

1) Packed with nutrients 

Nuts are a rich source of vitamins, minerals, proteins, and healthy fats. Nut butters provide adequate amounts of Vitamin E and B6, niacin, magnesium, zinc, copper, and potassium. Additionally, nut butters are an excellent source of dietary fiber. Therefore, while nut butters can help you stay healthy, they can also assist in relieving constipation. 3) Plenty of antioxidants

Antioxidants are substances that prevent oxidation and protect cells from damage. Nuts are excellent for antioxidants, including flavonoids, polyphenols, selenium, manganese, and Vitamin C, and E. Recent studies have also revealed that antioxidants enhance the body's ability to fight cancer. Peanut butter contains resveratrol, which is excellent for a healthy heart as it lowers the risk of coronary heart disease in humans.

4) Lower cholesterol levels 

An ever-increasing number of people are now suffering from high levels of cholesterol. Cholesterol can block arteries and thus cause strokes. A lot of nuts such as walnuts, almonds, and peanuts are rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. These fats lower the level of "bad" cholesterol, Low-Density Lipids, in the body.
On the other hand, nuts increase the level of good cholesterol, the High-Density Lipids in the body. A recent study revealed that walnuts can reduce the risk of heart problems in people with a history of coronary heart disease. Therefore, do your heart a favor and add nut butters to your dietary plans! All nuts are a good source of energy, so add a tablespoon of nut butter to your salad bowl, or add them in your morning smoothie to give your day a good start.
