How long do COVID-19 symptoms last

The World Health Organization (WHO) claims that the symptoms of the coronavirus tend to last for about 2 weeks for those with mild cases while it can go up to 6 weeks for those in a more critical situation. However, the stories of COVID-19 patients and survivors seem to show a different picture.

Looking at various cases, the symptoms tend to go on for about 6 weeks and can even go longer. In addition to that, the type of symptoms occurring in individuals is also increasing as some have listed loss of smell and taste among some of the symptoms they face from the virus.

The aim is to flatten the curve and limit the number of casualties countries are facing due to the pandemic. Telehealth plays an important role in determining the health and symptoms of patients. Doctors are keen on keeping a track of the time these symptoms last and the effects that the virus has on patients.
