Creatinine Systemic

About Test

The creatinine systemic test is a blood test that measures the level of creatinine in the blood. Creatinine is a waste product produced by muscle metabolism and is normally filtered out of the blood by the kidneys. The test is used to assess kidney function.

Elevated creatinine levels in the blood can indicate that the kidneys are not functioning properly, which can be a sign of kidney disease or other conditions such as dehydration, liver disease, or certain medications. Low creatinine levels may indicate malnutrition or muscle wasting.

The creatinine systemic test is often used in conjunction with other tests, such as a creatinine clearance test or a urine test, to help diagnose and monitor kidney function. The results of the test, along with other clinical and laboratory data, are used to determine the appropriate treatment for kidney-related conditions.
